This Australian Cab is a full varietal wine from Victoria’s Goulburn Valley. The wine aged between six and 12 months in French oak barriques, with alcohol sitting at 14.5% abv.
The wine is extremely dark, black, with no light coming through it. The nose offers blackberry fruit aromas and earthy minerals, with a slight eucalyptus note coming through behind it all. The palate has a minty sense as well, but that dark fruit and extreme earthness steal the show. The herbal aspect rises again on the finish to cap a delightfully different Cab experience.
