Russian River Valley Viognier
Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California, USA

Light golden in color.
Fruity nose of citrus, apples, lemons, light flowers, pears, light earth and light spices.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with lemons, green apples, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, earth and light oak.
Tangy finish with limes and grapefruits.
This 4 year old Single Vineyard Viognier from Russian River Valley is drinking very nicely now. Fruit forward and rich. Nicely balanced and elegant with nice complexity.
I had it 2 years ago and decided to give it a few years in the bottle to mature properly. It is drinking better now, and at its peak.
Good by itself as a sipping wine.
Viognier grapes were aged on the lees for 6 months in neutral oak barrels. A small production of only 2,100 bottles.
13.9% alcohol by volume.
