Strong vigorous drop, tabac melted into black fruits, no sign of overage, could go for another ten years

A great wine! Kept this in our cellar in France for 7 years and just brought it England this month. Gave it 2 weeks to settle, which was pretty restrained... Absolutely love it: slightly watery to the rim but densely dark cherry throughout; nose of morello cherries, fine Madagascan pepper, and a delicate blackcurrent sorbet; lovely integrated tannins and enough acidity to bring it all together. Not hugely complex but delicately rich and long. My perfect weekday wine!
