Drinking fantastic! Even a touch better than the ‘12 I had a few months ago. Smoked meat and charcoal with underripe blackberry on the nose. Definitely an herbal/stemmy note on the mid palate with some cedar too. Big without being dense. Thanks @Dan Fitzgerald

A plush purple color, the '04 Martinelli Syrah 'Terra Felice' had more crystalline deposits on the cork than any other wine I've ever opened. Nonetheless, it showed a lovely nose of black fruits, earthy spice and licorice. Nice sweet palate of dark raspberry liqueur and soy. Wonderfully balanced with fully integrated tannins for a harmonious, yet powerful finish.

2004: This wine has primal Syrah characteristics. Grilled meat, loam, plum, dark cherry and just a nice funk to tie it all together.
