Cracked open this 10-year old Nebbiolo that I’ve been holding for a while. Still super vibrant from when I last drank this, with good and acidity, and well-balanced tannins that have come from a bit of age. Raspberries on the nose, and dried herbs (thyme?), a bit floral. Sour cherries when it was younger are a bit more kirsch now. And anise for sure. Still an amazing value — can we have more of these affordable Langhe Nebbiolos at the LCBO please??

Delicate Nebbiolo, a bit restrained when first opened, with definite smell of raspberry and sour cherry and bright acidity on the palate. Med finish. A fair amount of body to this wine, but still quite easy drinking and a very good value.
