This Sangiovese Grosso is thick and leathery and strikingly powerful. Great dark fruit and that smoky boozy length of finish that makes Italian wine so appealing.

Subtle red fruit on the nose with baking spices and rocky earth more dominant than the fruit. Medium bodied and full of sharp, gripping tannins that dissipate as the juicy red fruits take over midway through. Soft finish with a lot of tobacco, cigar box and spice. Overall, decent lil wine with no flaws, just old world greetings and salutations!

Soo good. Really in the zone and not fading at all. Plum and dark black cherry, some oregano, earthiness, and some black pepper. Nice medium tannins at finish. Was a great pair w some grilled ribeyes. Happy Fathers Day to the rest of you out there in Wine-land!

Didn’t open up after 4 hours in the decanter but after 2 glasses, it tastes great!
