Castelgiocondo Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese

Smells like a glass of autumn trees. Still lively yet not overly complex. Definitely more weighty than my favorite brunellos.

I thought this '98 was better than the rest of the crowd did.

Interesting nose and there's something on the first third of the palate but this wine fades fast. Anyone want to buy my last 6 bottles of it?

1998-lean & mean. Ok, it rhymes, not mean, but lacking suppleness from prolong aging. Didn’t expect much fruit left, but not a whole lot left to enjoy.
