Popped and poured; enjoyed over several hours. The 2016 Vosne-Romanée VV pours a bright ruby color with a transparent core. Medium viscosity with no signs of sediment and no staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is initially a little funky but that blew off in 15min and left a beautiful bouquet of fresh red raspberry fruit, cranberries, some strawberry, red flowers, licorice, gravely minerals, some light baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium tannin, medium(+?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Very lovely. Elegant. Drink now and through 2030.
