I find Douro wines to be extremely tight, but this one has other things going for it than a rock solid tannic structure— Nettles and leather on the nose. Hint of raspberries on the front, with some hints of mint on the middle palate. The cool notes are offset by some spicy notes of chilis on the finish. This not an understated wine! Decant And let breath an hour.
