Created in 1981, Terre Alte is considered one of Italy's most prestigious white wines, blend of Friulano, Pinot Bianco and Sauvignon grapes, estate-grown at Rosazzo in the historic Terre Alte vineyards. Pale lemon yellow color with aromas of stone and tropical fruits and wonderful floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, peach and slight lemon citrus with honey floral notes and lively acidity. Smooth finish ending with fruit and sweet mineral notes. Very nice!

Very interesting wine, have not really had much like it before. A distinct almost sour note on the palate but still balanced with excellent freshness and verve. Nice pairing with some antipasto and sole on our last night in rome.
