Lincourt 2014 Gruner Veltliner Santa Rita Hills. Aromas of citrus rind and white flowers with a hint of white pepper. Crisp, creamy acidity. Flavors of grapefruit, apricot, and wet stones with a finish of lemon meringue pie. Received the bottle as a gift awhile back. Now that summer is here it was time for an interesting white. Native to Austria, this Gruner Veltliner is from Santa Barbara, CA. Served it with a simple dinner of shrimp scampi over brown rice.
