An amazingly rich and flavorful wine. Nose is really big with blueberries, black berries, plum, baking spices, cigar box, and forest floor. Palate is the most port-like I've experienced. Earthiness balanced against bright acidity. More nutmeg and a bit of sweet garam masala brought on by the ripe grapes and the chewy tannins. Long, gorgeous finish. This wine is perfect for a powerful cheese plate...not as sweet as a port, but just as dominant. Beautiful.
