Seems fully mature. Complex nose shows wet earth, a little mushroom, and some macerated cherry underneath. Still some tannin left, but complex flavors show tart cherry, loads of minerally earth, and underbrush. Very distinctive.

I have always loved the 2010. It is just as great today. Total elegance and finesse. World class. Strange thing is that my parents served artichokes. I really wanted a red. The Boca worked perfectly! What a gorgeous wine!

It’s been two weeks since any activity on my end 🤷🏻♀️ I promise I’ve been drinking well! A thank you to @Antonio Galloni for letting @Samantha Potter and I join a mid-tasting lunch with a glass of this wonderful wine. I sadly didn’t take notes but I do remember it went down like silk, really delicious.

Nose has light perfume. Good acidity on the palate. Juicy. Maybe a bit of funk. Still a pretty wine.

Quintessentially Nebbiolo. Scorched earth nose and palate w/ bouquet of tar and rose, floral top notes, loads of red fruits and black cherries, earthy licorice finish. Light-medium body, smooth finish. Opens up even more beautifully as it breaths. Obscure but beautiful Piedmont
