This wine is from the Anderson Valley vineyards owned by Don and Rhonda Carano. They make several Pinots, some single vineyard and this one from the 2012 vintage, from a group of estate properties. The wine is deep ruby color yet manages to keep a classic Pinot nose of dried citrus peel, cherry and a smoky note in the back. Medium plus acidity and firm texture give the wine great definition. This is a lovely wine, wire powerful without being over the top
