Okay, I've had the previous vintage (2011) and was pretty shocked by it (multiple bottles mind you), it was completely wacky bretty, tannic, french basque Lambrusco, totally fucked up, accidentally bubbly wine; which I generally tend to appreciate -the previous vintage notwithstanding. This 2012 however is wacky, funky and fucked up to a different degree. ML definitely went off in bottle, it's a little cidery and creamy with a touch of dissolved CO2 and a little sharp grapefruit juice tannin. It's a little like kombucha, or something else that's good for you but not truly delicious. Yet, I think I like it, for some sadistic reasoning.

A trip to funky town in a bottle, sparkling Lambrusco gone mad. Hard to tell the faults from the finesse, but halfway through the bottle you ask for a second one. Definitely chill before opening, this is Sparkling Carignan done right.
