Clos de la Bousse d'Or Volnay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

Was able to fit in an absolutely fantastic Pinot while here in Lyon, France.

Silk in a bottle.

Still vibrant and fresh after 9 years. Red fruits and a hint of earth that are wholly awesome and delicious.

2007. Reduction, and a touch of VA. Bummed.

Elegant and delicious. Small red and black fruit, light florals, understated intensity with extremely elegant and persistent midpalate, a touch of very fine tannins together with tingling acidity. Almost no word and almost no fat, all effortless elegance

Very charming nose, floral, herbal candy, earthy and dusty, just an elegant sweet nose. A bit of menthol but not as much as the Clos d'Audignac. Reminiscent of a Ruchotte Chambertin on the nose, but the wine was more structured and ripe. My WOTN.
