Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruit, oak, floral and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and ripe jammy cherry with notes of cedar, cacao, tobacco and lots of floral vanilla spice! Fine soft tannins, well balanced with acidity, long finish ending with fruit, oak, sweet spice, with floral earthy presence, elegant! It’s just starting to open, enjoy now and should continue to age well for next decade.

On the nose, dark sweet currants, stewed fruits of; blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries & poached strawberries. Baking spices, dark rich turned earth, dry stones and fresh dark soils. The body is full with M+ tannins. Still a little meaty. Blackberries, dark cherries, black plum, black raspberries, dark cherries & poached strawberries. Anise, vanilla, clove, spice, pipe tobacco, leathery, dark rich turned earth, dry stones, black cherry cola/licorice, fruit tea, dry brush, crushed rock powder, touch of mint, round acidity and a dry, meaty tannin, fruity finish. Out of 3L. This needs more time in the bottle. 7-10 + years in 3L.

2007. Someone brought this to a wine dinner I hosted. I wouldn't have thought of opening such a young vintage, and for good reason - this wine was massive! Still needs 5-10 years, but it will indeed be worth the wait.

Beautiful delicious wine. Black currant, graphite, leather, some dark fruit. Wonderful, strong nose. Plenty of structure - smoothed out after an hour or so of air but I’d probably wait until it’s 15th birthday.
