Volnay Pinot Noir

Ripe and round with a meaty edge.

Chalk and/or wet earth on nose with light red currant and a hint of raspberry. Smooth.

Red currant and raspberries with subtle forest floor aromas. Silky texture with light tannin, not overly complex, but delightful all the same.

Bouquet: light currant with overlay of mushroom which quickly dissipates; flavor: thin, currant with moderate astringent tannins, fairly weak flavor & not my favorite

Nose: Vanilla on the nose off the bat. Wet forest floor and mushrooms. Blackberries or currant. Medicinal undertone. Taste: delicate. Light astringent tannins, thin, this wine could benefit with another 5-7 years on the shelf.
