Sweet and young cherries and strawberries. Fresh/crisp acidity and medium dry/round tannins with a medium length finish. Plenty of strawberry.

When you're staying in a stone cottage on the beach in Baja Sur, a well-chilled bottle of Lancers is just the ticket to wash down some tortas for lunch. #ItsImported

‘Imported’. Ewww fancy. Strange rusty-red color. Like a juice from a smashed ripe plum. Smells strange. Like a cocktail of rum, grenadine, sparkling apple juice and hand soap. Flavor is plain and juice like. Like a plum skin mixed with martinellies.. But not sweet. It’s dry. Just thin. Leaves a hint of cooked strawberries behind. It’s drinkable. But it’s also bland and blah. I did enjoy a bottle of this in the old terra cotta 25 years ago on the bank of a river in Washington State. That was an experience etched in my mind. Now it’s just strange, overcooked rosé.

Made the mistake of pouring this rose into a glass. Definitely meant to pound from the bottle at the beach or some place where semi-sparkling, sweet watermelon juice needs to be crushed.

Sweeter than I usually prefer but the effervescence helps cut the sweetness. Lots of strawberry in this one!

Not too sure if the fizz was supposed to be there or because it was on the turn!
