Definitely past its peak but has mellowed into a kind of pleasant quaff.

Birthyear! This bottle was in great shape with bright red fruit acidity and nice but subtle undergrowth characteristics, really fun to drink. Not one to decant as it was in place and rather delicate. Had a gripping quality in the back of the palate that I’m not accustomed to but overall lovely and very enjoyable

From a magnum and in the pristine condition. 1982 in the north coast was a relatively cooler year. Red cherry, medicinal and herbal, full of tertiary character, a bit mushroom-y, resolved tannin. This is at its peak drinking plateau and likely will stay there for a long while.

Wow, incredible Cab to drink with the evolution of flavors that came out over the length of dinner. It was tasting even better at dessert..This was first decanted for 45 minutes, which needs at least an hour. It was surprising after 34 years in the bottle, how well it kept its structure and body. High notes of cherry, vanilla. If anyone can get your hands on an '82 vs '07, it's fun to compare and quite the experience.

lost a lot of structure and gained an unpleasant sourness. Even after a long decant, still a disappointment. Maybe he bottle?

Very beautiful and smooth with hints of plums and mushrooms. Rounds the pallet so softly.
