Les Pierres Noires Gamay

Cloudy ruby color in the glass with thin edges. This is vin naturel, after all. Slightly seductive nose with tons of spicy notes and bright cherries, really nice raspberries, and that pleasant barnyard that I love. The French just know how to produce these under the radar sexy wines. There’s a bit of the erotic going on here that speaks to me. Very light bodied and vibrant on the palate. Muted strawberries, stewed plums, spice, and herbs. The star here is the minerality which takes it above it’s price point and makes it truly interesting. Turn down the lights, put the candles on, open this up, and enjoy the night.

Seduce-juice. Darker fruit and can take a slight chill.

Ripe fruit, cooked red fruit, barn yard, natural wine nose. Vegetal. Quite good. Needs saucisson, or a nice red steak with wine sauce
