South Ridge Paso Robles Syrah

Ah, J. Lohr. Lovely red of blood color. Aroma of wet leaves, earth and berry compote. Slightest hint of Band-aid. Flavors are Christmas pudding meets cherry chocolate cheesecake. Bright flavors with plenty of herbs and licorice in there. Really like fresh fruit. Apples? Yeah, I think I’ve had apples like this wine in flavor. Also has perfect balance of tannins and acids. This is really nice central coastal Syrah.
