Delish. We ate with Xmas prime rib and it was a perfect pairing.

Extraordinary. I had the pleasured of touring Inglenook, and they didn’t disappoint. Their flagship Rubicon was amazing. Medium + Body with firm tannins and nice extracted fruit. And winery itself is somewhat legendary. And they are neighbors to this other winery called Scarecrow... No big deal.

Overpriced? Yes. Delicious? Absolutely. The famous rubicon is seriously a fruit-forward upscale Boudreaux. Complex, with firm but velvety tannins and a silky mouth feel that is balanced by great acidity that persists through a super long finish. Hallmark cab notes are there - graphite, mint, vanilla, baking spices, cocoa, cassis, and rich dark fruits. It’s upscale old world elegance with new world fruit and is awesomely made.

2008 vintage. Concord grape on the nose. A little too tart, too many edges for almost 11 years old. BBB 2017

Actually liked the regular non-Rubicon Cab better.
