Clear, very pale almost water like. Very shy nose with withdrawn aromas of pomelo, grapefruit, white stone fruit, lemon zest and a strange, fresh goat cheese component which disturbs this clean & fresh picture of the nose a bit. On the palate this Kabinett shows an incredible tension, freshness and wonderful (high), vibrant, balanced acidity. The wine acts on a very dry level. Its an perfect Aperitif. Unbelievable salty finish. There is quite a little hype in the German wine scene about these wines and already after one bottle I´m a fan too. Very focused, quite and drinkable stuff. Not a "in your face" wine. Elegance is the key-word here.
