Notes of H2S initially even after decanting. I have had this problem with Mount Edelstone with another vintage - 2006 from memory. A medium bodied palate showing blackberry and raspberry. 2 hours later notes of H2S still there! Usually one of my favourite wines but not on this occasion. The palate less effected but not as silky as usual. More time? Expected more from the little brother of Hill of Grace. An atypical bottle.

This exceeded expectations. On the nose there is aroma of potpourri and garrigue mixed with blood scents and concentrated notes of dried cranberries. On the palette this is concentrated, intense. Loads of fruits, soft tannins and sweet licorice. Very well structured and multi-layered. Excellent.
