Hatzidakis Winery
Santorini Assyrtiko

Hatzidakis FTW!!! My favorite producer on the island and rife with crushed stones, lemon and seawater. Suck it down.

Simple but well balanced Assyrtiko. Not very aromatic. Dominated by lemon and a stony minerality. Bright, with high acidity. Well done. I'll have to try to again, maybe I'm underselling it, but it was lacking some complexity for me. Perhaps too young.

Jun 6th, 2016Drank four different versions at Yurkanins's wine tasting last night. This was my favorite. Strong minerality, stone fruit, no oak.
