Harrington
Marzemino

My last Marzemino - a late-ripening, dark-skinned grape variety grown mainly in Trentino-Alto Adige in the Italian Dolomites. Brian Harrington made this wine from Lodi fruit, the only domestic version I am aware of.

Dec 14th, 2022At least 3 points added to the rating just because somebody had the guts to make a domestic Marzemino. Deliciously inky and blue fruity, though misses a bit on the stoney mineralty of traditional Marzemino (but then again it's not grown in the shadows of the Dolomites).
