Another Wednesday Wine Committee lunch, this time hosted by my buddy @Will Adams ! As always, all wines are tasted blind. Great job Will!

Have very little experience with Hanzell but it’s always a treat to enjoy these wines that hold their own against the test of time so well. Couldn’t believe this was an ‘11. Youthful. It’s not very buttery or over oaked but it has just enough to add spice to the fruit...honeyed pear, nutmeg and some honeysuckle.

Wouldn't go as high as my last note as the oak was a nick too eager compared to last time. Still, a superior wine, youthful, bright, and well made. Acid to spare. Will continue to develop. Just wondering: is "drinks too easily" a flaw?

Great balance of malic and oak. A very well rounded chard from a cool vintage

Excellent. Not that that's a surprise. Fresh fruit, clean mouth-watering acid, and just a soft kiss of oak. If all Chardonnay was this good I would drink way more of it.

Very disappointing. The bottle was stored properly and it wasn't corked. Just unlucky I guess.

The wine's color is a rich golden hue. Pineapple, lemon and crushed rock on the nose. Meyer lemon and minerals lead to a gentle oak finish. Benchmark Chard.
