Brought this back from my Cali trip. My goal was to hold for five years. Fell well short of goal, but it was still wonderful. Big Napa Cab. Dark fruit. Somewhat grippy tannins. Nicely balanced.

May 1st, 2022Made it home from a Napa/Sonoma trip. I tasted so many wonderful wines, but I am only reviewing the ones that really stood out. During our Napa day we went to Hall Rutherford and had an exceptional experience. One of my favorites was Montagna, and it was shining. Montagna means “mountain” in Italian. This was a dense plush mouthfeel wine. Very elegant. It was drinking well, but I think patience will be rewarded. I will try to hold for 5+ years.
