A 1.2ha parcel of old Mencía on south-facing schist, this was the vineyard that Pablo and his parents started their adega with back in 1996. Some whole cluster, foot trodden, long maceration and ferment in open foudre and then aged about a year in used French barrels. I really liked this yesterday when I opened it and showed it around, but it's singing like an opera diva on the second day! Black raspberry, violets, graphite and just oh so pretty.
