Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark cherries, menthol, tobacco and dusty tannins. So good.

This wine NEVER disappoints. It’s just exceptional. Of the 09-12 vertical this was a standout as well as the ‘11 - though it’s splitting hairs. Thanks to all who shared these.

Smooth with Rutherford dust and chalk. silky finish.

Extraordinary Cabernet! Full and complete with a great finish. Just starting to hit its peak drinking window.

Captivating nose on opening, with rich floral and dark fruit tones wafting from the bottle as soon as I pull the cork. This seems to be at peak for my palate. The tannins lay out a fine blanket on which the black cherry, black raspberry, and faint brown spice notes strut their stuff. There’s a pleasing old leather element in the finish, which just rolls on and on. This was my first Greer and I’m smitten. Fantastic wine.

The real deal. Will only get better. 😉

Awesome stuff.. Multidimensional and full of life. I hope nobody commercially rates his stuff. It's amazing. 2010 has a little more terroir in it, but this is right there. Feel fortunate to have had this with wonderful friends.

Had this beauty while watching the US beat Ghana. Great wine and a great game.

This wine is closed down at the moment, but with some air and time you could start to see what is hiding in the background. Glad I have a few more bottles to check on in a couple of years.
