P&P, so never really spread its wings, but this is distinctive stuff. No heat on the nose (scorched earth, leather). Lots going on - liquorice, compote, kirsch. Some heat at the back of the palate, but not detracting from overall excellence.

This is a fine wine. That first taste is amazing! So is the second. Opened this for a birthday celebration -- great choice!! Happy birthday, Mike!
