Not great notes, a testament to the company with whom this wine was enjoyed!

Nose: absolutely gorgeous, leaping from the glass with ripe cherry, blackberry, fig jam, cinnamon, baked nuts, lavender and vanilla bean

Palate: in a perfect spot, with ripe but incredibly fresh black & red fruits, kirsch, Morello cherry and balsamic glaze

In an absolute sweet-spot for younger drinking, the overall impression is of a Port beginning to acquire the savoury qualities of age but with incredible freshness and perfume. A delightful drink and one I’ll enjoy checking in with in 5-10 years’ time.

We drank this over many days and with many friends. Outside every time in the breezy dark, which may have made a difference but wow. Crowd pleaser. Individual pleaser too. Great mellow, lull you to bed way to end the night. It's good as shit.

Still incredibly youthful. Jammy - blackberry, currants, framboise liquor. Black tea, toffee follows to sweet stem to stern power held above the palate with fine acidity. Great balance and longevity on the finish.

Wine is a journey. This bottle survives the earthquake last year. It landed in pool of wine from some broken bottles that had ejected from the wine cooler. Glad I could share this 375ml bottle tonight w/ great friends who had similar experiences.

Black and blue fruit seems like it was simmered at low temp and then captured in this elixir. Deep purple color and evolving tobacco leaf and menthol aromas mingle.

French hard candy turns seconds into minutes as the sweet compote flavors linger. Enough buoyancy from the acidity plays a supporting role.

Fun to reconnect w/ this wine again.
