Goldeneye (Duckhorn Vineyards)
Anderson Valley Pinot Noir

What a disappointment! Even being open for a couple days it’s still was just acid in tannins. Very little fruit.

Loved it. Smooth and tasty. Had it at Summit House with Prime Rib. One of the better Pinot Noir. On our favorite Pinot Noir list.

Apr 10th, 2021Got this on super sale for $22. Wouldn’t have paid $50 retail on this. Notes of raspberry, cranberry, roasted strawberry, red plum, violets, cedar, baking spices, crushed stone and sweet tobacco. I can appreciate the style of this wine, and it is pretty complex, but the alcohol is definitely present and was a bit harsh on that attack. Medium acid, medium tannin, medium plus body and medium plus complexity. Cheers.
