The 2015 Valpolicella Classico Superiore lifts up with unprecedented freshness as a beautiful mix of fresh cherries, cloves and cedar is complemented by rosy florals. This is a model of purity, slightly salty in character, with crisp red fruits and sweet spice nuances. It tapers off lightly structured and perfumed, leaving the palate perfectly reset as a tinge of minerality lingers. The warm vintage 2015 is complex yet finessed. Simply stunning. Valpolicella with an excellent balance and gentle strength, complexity and nice evolution that keeps the character but changes noticeably and interestingly

Dry cherry, some sweet pipe tobacco. Concentrated dark fruit on the palate, lots of sweet tannins, good acid and some florals show up at the end of the long finish. Solid but less wow factor than I expect from the pedigree. The freshness of primo fiore compares favorably
