Color of clear light purple, almost Pinot noir like. Nice legs. Nose of cured meat, a bit smoky, leathery, hint of dried strawberry, and strength of alcohol. Taste follows the nose with addition of refined tannins, dates and plum, dried strawberry, black pepper, some whisky barrel note, black tea, and some more dried strawberry. Aftertaste of some more ripe grapes, a bit more zest, and savory currants. Nice.
