Extremely potent Shiraz. Spicy, dark lingering fruit with nice dry finish. Fantastic with our NY, bone-in steak!!

Decent acidity w/ a spicy finish, but the fruit is rather flat. Oh well, what do you expect when they liquidate their inventory on hand at 50% off?

I think this is drinking very well right now. Complex, balanced, and fresh. I feared a "punch in the face" Shiraz, but this was not at all... much more thoughtful and nimble. Black fruits with a touch of spice and a gentle thread of dry cocoa powder. 2011 was a tough year on the east side, but strong in Western Australia... so I'm hoping this might continue to evolve and improve over the next couple years? What do you think? Worth spreading the next few bottles over a few years?
