Dinner with friends, bottle theme of the evening is northern Italy and regionally contiguous countries. Fun wines will be poured and smiles will be shared!

This organic Fontasnasanta is a great example if you haven’t tasted Manzoni Bianco before. Exhibiting hint of petrol, mineral with orange peel, ripe stone fruit and savory dried herbs notes. Beautiful baking spices and honey followed by lifted acidity with great length and finish.

Super neutral boring wine, simple, limes, acid, 4 second finish, very disappointing despite ratings...

Golden with an orange tint, minerals and herbs dominate the nose and palate with hints of lemon and apple skin, dry but fruity with some definite weight, textured with a hint of funk. #underthecellar

Citrus and tropical fruit. Lots of minerality. Long finish.

I knew this was a ‘skin contact’ white so I had low expectations. Not amber or orange at all in color. Vibrant fruit. Finishes a bit short with a hint of bitter.

Very unique wine with great length! Earth tones to start, peachy citrus in the middle, and a subtle bitter dryness to finish. Love it!!

A beautiful companion to halibut and sauce with spices, apple and fennel.

Highly aromatic white, reminiscent of Malvasia, with notes of sweet, ripe fruits. At one point this smelled like an apricot pastry in the glass. The taste was a little less exciting, with a medium body and somewhat oily finish. This would have played well with more acidity but fell kind of flat and flabby. Apparently this grape is half riesling but it definitely didn’t inherit any acidity genes. (Alto Adige tasting @ Vini e Fritti)
