Dec 19th, 2016Last one in the cellar. Penultimate bottle was back in Nov ‘18. Gave that a 9.1. Fruit is at the early stage of decline so I’d suggest to Drink Up. Paired it with grilled Italian chicken sausages and a simple green salad. La vita è bella!

Dec 25th, 2016I had two bottles, which is a good thing, since the first one was corked. Down the sink and on to the second bottle. The second bottle was fine. The nose was dark cherry with a hint of tar. On the palate you get spice, dark fruit, oak, and leather. Finishes nicely with excellent acid. I would rank the corked bottle a 7.6 and the normal bottle a 9.0. A bad cork is the responsibility of the winery, so I decided to average the two bottles.
