Dark cherries and black pepper. Vanilla and cedar. Pronounced nose. Medium intensity, med + tannin and med acid. Medium body.

2013 - leave it open for a day or wait a year or two. Already a fine Syrah with loads of potential. Peppercorn goes without saying, but add that to intense, seedy berries (esp. blackberry); some gaminess on the nose; and a bright, ruby color. There is also a sultry, floral perfume, and a insistent acidity that make me want to try it again in a few years.
