Apparently S Africa does not believe in aging Cab! And, it tastes like it!

Dec 20th, 2012Definitely a S. African Cab, there's no getting around that. Strong vegetation on the nose, mostly green pepper with dark earth and dark fruit present as well (even a touch of dark chocolate). The palette is silky and smooth, stewed black and blue fruits are present, as is that green pepper (although not as bold). A bit of flinty, minerality also shines through. It's definitely not going to be for everyone, but you can't fault the wine for that.

Good wine, takes a little time to open up and then is very good for the price.
Reminds me of red leather pants on my wife.
