This Gran Reserva #campodeborja is new to me - I love it. It didn't need to open up much despite being 9 years old. Like a Rioja it has some bell pepper earthy notes, laid back fruit but more spicy in the finish.

I enjoyed it. The 2008 definitely is past it's prime as far as I'm concerned - it has lost all its tannins and is left a bit flat. But it's very smooth and easy to enjoy with my mediocre cooking
