As the first Oregon Pinot Noir I drink, ever, what threw me off balance was the combination of the wooden chips (the company admittedly uses them), that gave me a mild oaky first impression, followed by ripe red fruit together with pretty sharp acidity and a metallic taste,in an almost Barolo-like way.
I'd like to see what happens to this wine on time...will the random factors end up blending into a complex, balanced wine?

May 8th, 2016Ling week and full bottle... Fruit on the nose, complex dynamic of earth, acid and deep fruit. A light release with a dry linger. God bless willamette valley. Thinking if Marshall the walker.
