The best of the 3 Petite Sirahs opened tonight. The fruit on this '09 was absurd. This is a Shafer project, and when their Relentless dwindled in Petite sirah make up, it became this. This is a big medley of blue and black fruits, licorice, sweet tarts and vanilla. Best petite sirah to date easily. Thanks Bill!

Jammy, dark fruits. Tannins turn a bit harsh on the end. I'd wait to see if they soften. Will try again tomorrow.

Apr 9th, 2015Dark inky purple wine that covers your wine glass, teeth, and palate. Absolutely delicious fruit forward wine that is a bit heavy in tannins but can soften up with age and air in a decanter. Another Shafer Special that has Elias Fernandez's finger prints all over it

One of the best! Dark rich fruit. Chewy concentrated with jammy fruit and cocoa notes. I loved it!!
