A bomb CS from Napa. Great fruit/acid balance. This will drink better with a few years in the cellar but fine now if decanted and allowed to open up .

2009. On Giving Tuesday, drinking a wine that gives back- this one goes toward cardiovascular research- Cheers to a healthy heart!

Ehlers Estate 1886
This is a 2009 Cabrenet Sauvignon from St.Helena -Napa Valley The cork wine rim is slightly irregular. The legs are very long but fast for a cab of this caliber. The color is opaque deep purple. The bouquet is amazing enriched with boysenberry and lilac. There is a hint of oak. The initial palate gives me an immediate smooth and thin Cabrenet grape and blackberry splash. The finish has a tart drying effect that of green bananas and blueberry juice. It is not sweet but tricks the taste buds into thinking so then the dry finish removes the facade. This wine leaves you longing for more. I absolutely love this wine.

At Mark and Kelly's party with Bob. It was too cold at 40 degree F and didn't taste as good as it can. I liked it better than Stephanie.
