Steinbeck Vineyard Syrah

I've got a soft spot for Eberle because it was one of the first wineries I visited way back when I first got into wine. Rouse's was closing it out for $10, and since Gary Eberle first planted Syrah in the central coast in 1975 I couldn't pass it up. Look burgundy, fruit nose, flavors blackberry,pepper,earth tannic

Nice peppery Syrah.

Deeply mined the wine list tonight. Very pleasant, peppery and a bit brooding.

Not my style. Very big wine with lack of character.

Big fruit

New fav.

Massive Syrah. Oak is abundant. Needs a steak.
