Hermitage Syrah

Apples with a little VA

Funk on the nose and some slight bricking in the glass gives way to a lot of depth and a core of sweet red fruits. A really impressive 32 year old wine.

Drink up. Velvet, blood sausage, smoked meats and tobacco.

A baby still and the bacon fat and meatiness is clear.

1985. Notes of tar, black plum, blackberry, earthy mineral tones, and smokey wood. Tasted amazing.

1985. Had so much beautiful life to it!

A nearly compromised cork and quite a bit of sediment, but still solid and in a great place.
