Aging nicely this should continue to evolve over the next 3-5 years. Dark but restrained ruby color with bright stonefruit, dried sage and thyme on the nose. The once young tannins have mellowed out nicely and acid coming into balance but keeping the structure of the wine. Merlot balances out the minerality of the cab with deep berry flavor and medium to long finish. I swore there was some petit verdot in here but not so! This should be in its prime now +24 months.

The Howell Mtn is great! The Napa is good too, but this bottle has something special.
