Saving this one for a long time. Most expensive bottle of wine I had ever purchased at the time in 2008.

This German producer was set loose in the Willamette Valley and found a cohort in one of the top winemakers in the valley - not a bad pairing if you ask me. Savory with generous blue fruit and earth on the backend, this one has a long life ahead that will be well worth the wait.
