A bit shy on the nose, showing the restraint of the vintage but with classic nuances of white flowers, peaches and green apple. Minerality, alcohol and sugar are in good balance. This comes through as a leaner vintage in the Nahe, just as I have noted in my tastings of the 2016 Mosel wines so far. Stern, austere character to this wine but with good impact and ample muscle.
